COMMUNION TEACHINGS. RIO Maranatha Fellowship services periodically concluded with observance of Communion. Worshipers were invited to become one with each other and with the Triune God by gathering in a circle, representing the Lord's table; breaking matzo, representing Jesus' body broken for our sins; and drinking the fruit of the vine, representing Jesus' blood shed on Calvary's cross for the remission of our sins through the New Covenant. Each Communion service had an oral teaching, and written teachings were distributed in the notebooks, including:
